    Hello Robin,

I am not sure if you will remember me, my name is Mahesh somaiya and I spent Christmas and Summer vacation at ‘The Old Mill’ In Ide , Exeter in mid Fifties.
Angela had boyfriend at that time and me and Mark used to tease her by calling him Noddy.
Beside Angela, Mark and you there was a little dog, the name eludes me at the moment.
Trust your Mom and everybody is fine, please send me their e-mail and mailing address.
Looking forward to hearing from you.
    Regards,
    Mahesh Somaiya

    Dear Mahesh,

My apologies for this delayed response. I see the web site less these days but my son kindly reminded me to get on with it!!

Good to hear from you and to know that your memories of the Old Mill hang on in there. The dog’s name was Timmy. ‘Noddy’ was John Knibbs, the Deputy Head Boy at my School, Exeter School. I am sure I was a major embarrassment to them both.

Sadly my mother died in 2012 having spent many years in Bournemouth with her second husband, Des. She sold The Mill and moved away from Ide in the early 1970’s. mark lives with his second wife, Val, near Deal in Kent. There are three grown children (I have two, as you will know from the web site).

Angela lives quite close to me, here in Norfolk – quite coincidently. She has been here from the early 1960’s and her two children were brought up here.

Of course, we are all ‘of a certain age’ and retired from our various careers (although I do keep my hand in to a degree).

I’ll pass your best wishes on. Rather than leave my personal details on a public site, I will let you know I can be contacted both at Trewatha.com and on my professional commentary available to the public on:

    Dear Robin,

How nice to hear from you. I was saddened to hear that your mother had died in 2012, I have fond memories of her and how she welcomed me when I first visited IDE. I wish if I could have seen her before her demise.

I am happy to hear rest of the family is doing well.
